Case Study: The Rad Wife – A Domestic Rebellion of #Tradwife

Building a Bold, Real-Life Resource for the Overwhelmed and Over It

The Rad Wife started as a journal entry and quickly turned into a mission: help creatively wired, domestically overwhelmed folks find systems that actually work, even if their brains are a little messy, their laundry piles are sentient, and their lives don’t fit the Pinterest-perfect mold.

Created during one of the hardest chapters of my personal life, The Rad Wife isn’t about being the perfect homemaker. It’s about being a resilient one.

The Challenge

I wanted to create a lifestyle blog that tackled home life from a place of honesty, humor, and hard-won wisdom. There are plenty of systems out there, but most of them weren’t built for people like me, neurodivergent, emotional, creative, and easily overwhelmed by the noise.

The blog had to feel fun but functional. Bold but grounded. Real. And most importantly, it had to leave space for grace.

The Strategy

I began by treating The Rad Wife like a full-scale brand build, with a clear audience and voice in mind. So far, I’ve developed:

  • Brand identity, featuring bold colors, large type, and playful-but-practical language
  • Messaging strategy, centered around imperfection, consistency, and encouragement
  • A full editorial plan, including blog posts, printables, and downloadable systems
  • Digital product concepts, like budget spreadsheets, home command center kits, cleaning checklists, and “5S for the ADHD brain” printables
  • Work With Me page, offering marketing and design services to other creatively inclined folks trying to build from home
  • Social tone and visual direction, with a focus on empowering, meme-able content
  • Future monetization planning, including affiliate partnerships, digital product sales, and service bookings

Every piece of The Rad Wife is designed to say, “You’re not failing. You’re just trying to run a house with a brain wired for bigger things.”

The Results (So Far)

Though the blog hasn’t launched yet, the foundation is solid and intentional. So far, The Rad Wife includes:

  • A fully built WordPress site with custom branding
  • Dozens of blog post drafts and product prototypes
  • Clear messaging and audience segmentation
  • An outlined Pinterest and content marketing plan
  • A deeply resonant mission, rooted in personal experience and practical service

The Takeaway

The Rad Wife isn’t live yet, but it’s coming with a vengeance. And when it launches, it won’t just be a blog. It’ll be a lifeline for people trying to get their sh*t together without losing their soul. Every word, checklist, and spreadsheet is crafted with care, humor, and a rebellious refusal to give up.
