To promote Citylight’s fall Student Ministry gatherings, I created a bold, collage-style flyer designed to resonate with modern students. Before beginning the design, I conducted market research on current youth design trends and discovered a strong pull toward nostalgia, collage art, and digital-native iconography.
Inspired by the energetic minds of teenagers, I built a custom collage filled with recognizable elements from youth culture: vintage tech, video game icons, cat memes, social stickers, and expressive doodles. These were layered alongside faith-based imagery, such as the Bible. The goal was to speak their visual language while grounding the message in community and spiritual connection.
I paired the collage with a clean, easy-to-read layout for the event details, ensuring clarity for parents and accessibility for students. This piece combined strategic visual research with playful design and remains one of my favorite youth-forward print assets.
